TIPS FOR MAKING MONEY IN COLLEGE

The world is yelling at you, "Get a job!". You take heed and enter into college so you can get a "GOOD" job. But as you see the tuition bills, book bills, rent payments, and credit card bills pile in, you cry, "I thought I was going to college to MAKE money!".
Taking out a loan is a quick fix if you qualify. But then you are looking at a $100,000 loan payback as soon you DO get a real job. So what's a poor college student to do?

1) Get a job. Yes, we did already discuss this. But it's simple. Nobody is asking you to get a job at a Fortune 500 company, but your local McDonald's is always hiring. Quit whining about not having any money when your monthly beer tab exceeds your monthly allowance. There is always time for you to work. You aren't REALLY working on schoolwork 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You may have to get a little less sleep, or do a little less partying, or (for those SUPER-students) you may have to settle with less than an A in your classes. But there are companies hiring entry-level employees EVERY day. And guess what? When you do graduate...(yes WHEN not IF) employers LIKE that you have had some work experience! So go to it champ! Fill out any application you see (For a job).

2) Downsize. You don't HAVE to get the coffee that is at the college coffee shop every day. As tasty as it is, it may not be worth the $7 a day, almost $200 a month! You really DO NOT have to have a Twinkie out of the snack machine every day. You can make your own coffee, and buy Twinkies in bulk at Wal-Mart. There are so many things that we think we cannot live without that we really can. You can give up a few of these little things and notice that your beer money isn't stretched so tight this month.

3) Sell what you do have. Those Nike shoes that you don't wear any more could bring you a few bucks on EBay. It may sound crazy, but go through and purge all the unnecessary necessities and you could find yourself with a nice little wad of cash.

4) There are no real fast-cash ways to make money right this very second (legally). Realize that if making money was really as easy as searching for it that nobody would be too worried about it.
